For 2025, I do not have resolutions. I have goals. How do I get there? Little micro-adventures I have planned for myself so that I am not wandering around aimlessly and ending up nowhere.
I plan to hit the ground running in January (my favourite month). I want to make it count. Here is what I have done so far…
Step 1: Research
Learning from others who have walked this journey and succeeded. I started by watching Ali Abdaal’s videos on productivity. He is a doctor turned you-tuber who is touted as an expert on productivity. His videos are short, practical and easy to digest. I have already learned a few things:
- Watch videos at double-speed! Well, I’m not quite able to do double yet, but 1.5 speed has already made an impact.
- Create your ‘Perfect Week‘. I am creating time within my work week for important things that may not be urgent. (Eisenhower Matrix – more later)
- Live Intentionally: Journaling helps.
- Write down your goals. Goals written down are far more likely to be achieved.
- Quarterly Goals: Divide the year into quarters. Create 3-4 goals for each quarter.
- Weekly Resets: Once a week, review your quarterly goals. Plan your priorities for the week.
- Morning Manifestos: What were your priorities for the week and how are they going? Monitor your progress.
- GPS Method:
- Goal: What do you want to accomplish?
- Priorities: What do you need to focus on in order to achieve your goal?
- Strategies: What actions are required to achieve each priority?
I am a list person. To-Do lists. Shopping lists. Christmas gifting lists. Love them!! The Eisenhower Matrix is a method to sort your lists: Urgent or Important.

So this is how far I’ve come. I will aim to publish regular updates (one of the ways to keep myself accountable!). If you, like me, want to improve your productivity, come along for the ride.
Stay true to yourself.
